Human Rights, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the Commonwealth: Struggles for Decriminalisation and Change is the first book on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues in the Commonwealth, where 42 of 54 Member States criminalise same‐sex sexual acts as a result of British colonial laws. Chapters by academics and activists, covering 16 states, examine the relationship of past decriminalization processes to current struggles. The focus is of utility for activists, researchers and decision‐makers.
