Description

The modern Commonwealth was formed in 1949 with the London Declaration, which changed the basis of membership from common allegiance to the British Crown to a free and and equal association of independent states. Yet this organisation often remains misunderstood or underappreciated. This short course, which can be undertaken entirely online and has no residential component, provides an insight into the history which has shaped the modern Commonwealth of Nations as well as the key events, figures and formal agreements which have made it the organisation it is today.

This short course is self-directed and can be undertaken at a time, place and pace suitable for you. To register, book through the form below, after which you will be sent a link and log-in details to enable you to access the course through our e-learning platform.

The registration fee is £50.00 (standard) or £25.00 for students registered at the School of Advanced Study.
