Research and Policy

The Human Rights Consortium (HRC) has developed a strong track-record in the organisation and support of academic, policy and practice-oriented activities on human rights. The HRC's activities fall under three key themes:
- Defending and Securing Human Rights
- Environmental Justice
- Minorities and Indigenous People's Rights and Non-discrimination
Research projects at the Human Rights Consortium are led by academic researchers who also teach on the MA in Human Rights by distance learning, and offer research degree supervision. We also offer an entry award of a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights, Postgraduate Certificate in Human Rights and one-off modules in key themes such as genocide studies, international human rights law, Indigenous peoples’ and minority rights. Students at both levels who have an interest in these areas are particularly encouraged to apply to study with the Human Rights Consortium.
