Equality advocate appointed Church of England’s first Racial Justice Director

A leading figure in the campaign to highlight the impact of the Windrush scandal has been appointed as the first Racial Justice Director of the Church of England, it was announced today. Church of England priest Guy Hewitt, a former Barbados High Commissioner to the UK, is a Senior Research Fellow and also on the Advisory Board of the major research project 'The Windrush Scandal in a Transnational and Commonwealth context '. He will take up the post in November, heading the Church of England’s Racial Justice Unit.
