UN statement on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global media freedom

On 9 April the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, issued a statement on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global media freedom, referring to the “growing manifestations of authoritarianism, including limits on the media, civic space and freedom of expression."
