Welcome to Dr Olivia Lwabukuna as our new Senior Lecturer

We are delighted to introduce Dr Olivia Lwabukuna, who has recently joined the Institute of Commonwealth Studies as a Senior Lecturer to support the Director and the broader work of the Institute.
Olivia brings with her a wealth of experience from both practice and academia, which closely aligns with the Institute’s vision and areas of focus.
A Tanzanian lawyer and Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, for the past 17 years Olivia has worked within professional, policy research and academic roles in South Africa, Tanzania, Swaziland, Kenya, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Olivia joins us via SOAS, where she served as a lecturer and Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Law.
We are really excited that Olivia has joined us as her extensive expertise in working on development, governance, human rights, and strengthening the rule of law, including alongside civil society and with policy makers in the Global South, will be invaluable in helping us advance our vision.
