London Media Freedom Conference

ICWS Senior Research Fellows David Page and William Crowley, Rita Payne (Emeritus President of the Commonwealth Journalists Association) and Dr Sue Onslow (Deputy Director and coordinator of the ICWS Centre on Media Freedom) attended the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s two-day conference on Media Freedom, which took place on 10/11 July 2019.

David Page has provided a summary of the outcomes of the Conference, including the very useful session on the Commonwealth, in which Desmond Brown QC (member of the Working Group on the Commonwealth Principles on media freedom) was a key participant.
