As the only UK postgraduate academic institution devoted to improving the lives of people across the modern Commonwealth, the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (ICwS) occupies a unique position at the crossroads of research, policy, human rights practice and international relations.
Gifts from our donors directly support projects and research that address issues such as democracy, human rights, the rule of law, governance, development and climate change.
Donations also enable students from all walks of life to gain access to the Institute’s multidisciplinary programmes, inspiring future generations of leaders with expertise in human rights, as well as supporting individuals currently involved in shaping policy within Commonwealth member states.
