With your support, the Institute is developing new areas of research on proposed solutions for contemporary problems.
The Institute of Commonwealth Studies (ICwS) is the only postgraduate academic institution in the United Kingdom devoted to the study of the Commonwealth, and its member states. In addition to its multidisciplinary MA human rights programmes, the Institute’s research focuses on historical legacies and current challenges confronting Commonwealth governments and societies, as well as analysis of the Commonwealth as a modern association.
With your support, the ICwS is developing new areas of research, focussing on proposed solutions for contemporary problems. The Institute provides a centre for policy-related commissions for Commonwealth organisations and governments, and training programmes for researchers and for policy professionals. It hosts an active events programme that deals with global challenges, and hosts a vibrant, integrated research, civil society and policy practitioner community focused on the current and future needs of the modern Commonwealth.
Unrestricted donations from people like you will support Fellowships, Early Career Researchers and scholarships for our most promising students. These donations will also support us to create flagship research programmes and engaging hybrid events focusing on contemporary Commonwealth issues.
